Oklahoma City Memorial of the Alfred R. Murrah Federal Building Large empty chairs represent the adults lost in the explosion. The smaller chairs represent the children from the day care center that were lost.

The Plaque reads: The Playground This grass lawn was the playground for the children's daycare center. Many children were killed or injured in the building.
