Oklahoma City Memorial of the Alfred R. Murrah Federal Building Large empty chairs represent the adults lost in the explosion.  The smaller chairs represent the children from the day care center that were lost.

The Plaque reads: 

The Playground

This grass lawn was the playground for the children's daycare center.

Many children were killed or injured in the building.

Ring a Bell to Pray for Peace and to end Violence Against Children.
The bottom portion of the Plaque reads:

View of the Survivor Tree from the Rescuers Orchard Left part of this plaque reads:

"The south wall of the Journal Record Building directly faced the blast's impact and was heavily damaged by the April 19, 1995 bombing.  Parts of the south wall were separated from the floor beams, and the arched section Right part of this plaque reads:

"The black brick window openings and dark glass windows help leave the sense of void created by blown-out glass following the bombing.  The fresh angular mortar joints you see were repaired during the building's rehabil
